So to begin with, I think most of us on here don't give a damn of what anyone else thinks of Wayne, cause we all know he's one of the best rappers out there.
Still, I've been listening to Wayne for a while now but recently, I've started telling people that he is my favourite rapper, and the reactions I get are (and these are from people who listen to hip-hop):
- "I don't/haven't listened to Lil Wayne"
- "Oh... I like his song lollipop"
- "How to Love is pretty nice"
- shows a bad song he made "can't respect him after this"
- "isn't he retired??"
Do any of ya'll have friends IRL who are Wayne fans?? Cause I find em so hard to find xD And if not, who do most of your IRL friends put as their favourite rapper? For me it seems to be Kanye, Travis, Kendrick, Juicwrld, J-cole etc.
(but maybe I just need more friends LOL)
How old are you tho haha Wayne fanbase is probably one of the most spread out in terms of age
People have always said that "He is just a punchline rapper, and doesn't make sense". They just take the lyrics at face value and don't listen for the true meaning and descriptions that he pieces together.
Yeah I also hate this. He didn’t really start using them like that until later in his career either. From 04-06 especially he wasn’t using punchlines like later on.

I think he started using more punchlines during the Lil Weezyana era in songs like Money In The Bank, David Banner, Donks

Haha yes I am younger than some of yall on here. Most of my friends/classmates didn't grow up with wayne; post prime wayne and when he was going through that whole ordeal with cash money was when most of us started listening to rap.
