-Block is Hot, 500 Degrees, and Lights Out have old school Hot Boys Mannie Fresh production. Mannie produced everything until after Tha Carter, but I like Mannies production on that. After that Wayne started doing a lot more remixes and worked with all different producers.
In an old interview from Wayne (more than 10 years ago I think) I read that the reason he didn't use any Mannie Fresh beats on Carter 2 was that he was doing a feature for Chamillionaire (Fly As The Sky) and the beat sounded familiar to him somehow. Later he found out that Mannie Fresh already gave him the beat for Carter 2 but then also gave it to Chamillionaire. Wayne was so pissed that he scrapped all of Mannie's beats and only worked with other producers. Don't know if this is the truth but that's what I read back then.

            2. He's talking rubbish, ignore him. They have to try and say "different" things for content.

Questions about Waynes rise in hip hop or if Jay Z is his biggest influence are answered from my perspective growing up.

The stuff about Mannie Fresh producing 500 Degrees, Lights Out, Block is Hot, Tha Carter, and Hot Boys projects is fact. After that is what I assume Joe Budden was talking about with diversified beat selection.

You are a certified hater, or you don't know what you're talking about.
