  • Wayne at Full Strength

I am the only one who believes Wayne could still give a song greater than anything we’ve ever seen. I don’t mean as far as vocal strength but lyrical prowess. Like a song where Wayne pulls out every bag of tricks he has. Or am I off here. Like Wayne has so many voices and deliveries he’s mastered he could really do something crazy. Like a 3 minute verse where he just pulls out everything he has. Like a jungle gym. Idk I just feel like Wayne could still drop something better than anything we’ve ever heard. If his main goal was to do that. Or am I off here

    Tldr
Have we seen the best of Wayne or could he still pull out something. Like I feel like we get a lot of songs Wayne does in minutes. What if he spent a day on a song. Like what would that look like.

Wayne always surprises us. He’s as lyrically as good as he’s ever been, if not more. He’s sticking to topics and showed his storytelling (Mona Lisa).

I’m sure he can deliver a song, or songs, that’ll be be hard af. I just wish his albums would be more consistent, none of them have wow’d me since C3 and they don’t have much replay value for me.

He's lyrically top 5 in the game, at least based off funeral. 2019 was very rough for him, and lyrically he wasn't nearly as impressive. His music doesn't stick really, partly due to forgettable youtube type beats and a bad delivery. If he finds a way to fix those two issues, I'm sure he'll be the best rappe alive again.

        Rt.
wayne could always rap, no question about that
but he needs to work on making good SONGS. Structuring songs right. Not just rapping front to back

I think Wayne just needs to stop trying to fit in with this new generation

Yeah for sure, kind of why we all love his music so much and he's pretty mythical in terms of being a top spitter but most people know that now but I reckon he has the capactiy to give us GREAT shit, the best shit he's ever done there's just something not quite right with his music making or formula in the booth.

He needs to change his environment or new techniques or even a completely different approach to recording but he is so in love with his own formula... Scottie Pippen I would say is pretty much full strength Wayne, maybe not the most musical shit he's ever done but Wayne just wow.... I know for a fact (not 100% fact fact lol) that he has loads of songs he's made in the last 4 years like that altho... its hard to keep up with what era the songs are coming from and how new they are... most of CV was recorded in the 10 months before it came out which I think is a bit of a slap but also kinda cool.... I think Mack and Tez and probably even Wayne don't know what a GREAT lil wayne song sounds like and thats why they don't put out what people like...

The issue with his full length projects is simple. They want to try to fit all different styles in to make it cater to everyone, and find a few mainstream hits, but it takes away from a cohesive feel.

he been listening to lil baby too much, raps too fast nowadays for my liking

lyrics/wordplay better than ever but delivery and voice ruins it
