i think another big issue is the artists wayne works with he needs to keep working with people that challenge him not with discount artists like adam levine, liftoff, ot genasis

he needs to work with artists either completely out of the genre SZA, the weekend etc or work with artists fans want to hear like a thug x wayne collaboration or uzi x wayne

wayne to often gets placements on discount rappers shi

I agree most collabs have been trash but he just had songs with Lil Baby and Lil Uzi on Funeral....Wayne and his team are just trash at promo and decided Mama Mia needed a video and Piano Trap should be a skate clip with skateboard sounds left on there to ruin the video...also how the fuck did they leave Takeoffs name off the animated video?

        1) lil baby was a weird interlude (minor feature) and the song got no promo which was weird so my issues with it were song structure and promo definitely had potential to be big

        2) although i love mama mia and think the video is awesome they def needed to put that budget into some of the other songs as well haha not me and piano trap were really low quality videos and were really disjointed because of the skate clips no idea who thought that was a good idea waynes skate parts are fine as a SEPERATE entity but i think all us fans have BEGGED mans to stop blending his music with the skating we want to see some creative expression not be bombarded with out of context skate clips

        3) leaving take offs name i think is pretty minor i would hope atleast that waynes name is strong enough that takeoff wouldnt hurt views that drastically haha

        4) the uzi song although i love it was put deluxe and people say it sounds like a EA left over with wayne slapped on it not much of a true collaboration (not sure i agree but what i see in terms of public perception)

you right fam as a whole lot of weird choices i do feel waynes promo work and everything is a lot better now then its been ever though also YM radio is cool as well

Mama Mia was actually perfect for a video. Show the new school Wayne still got it as well as the haters that Wayne really is a master lyricist. However Mahogany is the best song on the album. But the ideas and lyrics were prob stronger on Mama Mia which tho the beat is weird it’s lyrically a monster. Piano trap was great but u combined it with not me which brings it down.

i agree working with other artists that make him try, artists like griselda, maybe a earl sweatshirt, jid, or other artists like that. Wayne is probably stronger lyrically rn than he is commercially so working with more lyricists could boost fans and make for better music.

but I think the biggest thing would be the production he chooses.

He’s gotta get rid of that awful high pitched voice and auto tune too

this may sound extreme for lil wayne the great. but i think he should take a year off, maybe travel the world, meditate in tibet or something like that. it would reset his spiritual mind and make him see the world through different eyes

What I don't understand is why Wayne and Mack don't decide to do vids for songs that are popular?

Mona Lisa & Mahogany both had a positive reception and high views on YT but they didn't do vids for them.

I just think wayne is at the point in his career where he feels there’s nothing to prove anymore so he releases whatever Mack or tez says and it’s really a “take it or leave it” situation to listeners. Wayne still makes fire music I know he got hella unreleased songs that would kill the game but for some reason no one releases them lol

                    1. New management
                    2. Stop using mediocre garageband autotune
                    3. Work with GOOD producers
                    4. GO BACK TO ACTUALLY RAPPING
                    5. Bring his voice down about 6 octaves
                    6. Rebrand his entire image
                    7. If he only listens to himself, how about taking a look back at what made you famous & what your fans loved. C2/C3/D3/REBIRTH/NC. Get in touch with THAT wayne again.
                    forgot one more important thing..

                    8. Make more songs like Dreams.

Yaw buggin. All he needs to do is clean up his look a lil bit. Get some of the tats off of his face, grow his goatee back, and have a loctition fix his locs and get em uniform. And he definitely made his style of dressing...acceptable in 2020 so I mean. Whatever. Sometimes it’s still out there but these days it’s mostly normal.

His image is really the only thing holding him back. The nigga is definitely still rappin. Yaw just hear what yaw want to. He got mature and serious on C5, and he did his thing on Funeral. I hate the Deluxe but I mean he ain’t supposed to make errthang for me anyway. And I’d hate for this nigga to try to be Jay Z. Wayne ain’t a fuckin entrepreneur. He’s never been a nigga tryna skool nobody. The nigga has always just spoke on his lifestyle or the shit around him unless he was compelled to do otherwise. If it ain’t gradual evolution imma kall it fake. Period.

Lil Wayne, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Skooly, Rich Homie Quan, 2 Chainz.
