lol not true, I just felt some of y’all were riding Kendrick too hard in tht other thread. And once again not true about the Wayne stan thing. There are multiple moments where I feel like jay has every much of an argument to be the goat as Wayne. I think there’s stuff he does that’s sonically and lyrically on a different level then Wayne. I usually might fall back to Wayne but I would accept the argument for jay. I literally can’t for anyone else tho. Kendrick is a notch below Wayne to me. Jay is the only one who I would hear arguments from. Or a slim shady lp em maybe. And that argument falls flatter for me. But if u say jay I’d hear u out. No one else tho. I just feel like the reasons Kendrick gets put over Wayne don’t stack up. Like I get his discography is “cleaner” but it’s also incredibly shorter. And I’d take the run of carter, dedication, suffix, Carter ii, dedication 2, lil weezyana, blow, like father like son, da drought 3, and carter iii over kendricks whole 2010+ discography and Wayne did that in 3 and a half years.
As a whole he looks more “consistent” but that’s due to Wayne’s 2010+ blunders. Wayne from 05-2008 was incredibly consistent. And Wayne prob put out more music during tht time. If Wayne would’ve died after we are young money, or even carter IV, his discog would be debateay one of the best of all time competing with jay
Even from a verse to verse standpoint, Kendrick was not more consistent than for sure a prime Wayne and one could battle a mid 2013/2015

no still disagree with this. The only way u could confidently say Kendrick is better is if u haven’t heard Wayne’s discog not necessarily in its entirety but at its cruical points. There’s just stuff Wayne does that’s at a level Kendrick hasn’t touched. If u were just judging like the over view of their career and most people who like Kendrick think Wayne’s career started with the carter iii, then u could make the argument primarily due to the fact u probably didn’t even hear the full carter iii and dismiss his pop verses which they prob have a vague memory of anyways. That’s why I always say “from what you’ve heard” you believe Kendrick is better. But I’m almost positive if u hear Wayne’s best work it’s not even a debate. I’m tellin u, a lot of people, mainly the social media guys, And Kendrick fans are not familiar with Wayne’s full discography such as his mixtapes. It’s imperative u hear them to even enter a debate about Wayne and a lot of Kendrick fans haven’t heard any of them. They know wayne as the lighter flick punchline guy. Many don’t know what he did to get to that point
