for example - perfect strangers, god took his time, mess, etc i think all work well on c5
Even thought Big Worm is not perfect pitch wise, it's pretty darn good and I definitely like it.

He definitely should stop singing and stick to the melodic style but it's not like he's doing it on every song lol
But him trying to sing on 'Something Different' or that one track on Funeral is just horrific thats trueLast edited by TuneFromMoon; 11-28-2020, 02:39 PM.

Originally posted by Zodiac! View PostThere is, in fact, zero singing on No Ceilings 1. Lil wayne raps on every song of the tape. +
Carter III, you might know the album, had no Wayne singing whatsofuckingever.
Yes he paved the way for the autocrooners with his auto tune soaked singing tracks from around 07 to 08 when is voice was so heavily impacted by cough syrup abuse.
Other than that, every fucking moment of Lil Wayne greatness, including the aformentioned CARTER III and No ceilings 1, but also Drought 3 and Dedication 2 is wayne exclusively rapping.
Somehow now with most rap / pop songs resembling his 07 auto tune style, wayne must be under the impression this is the style he has to go back to, except he can't, because it sounds ass nowerdays coming from his 38 year old ass. Someone has to intervene and step in and tell the guy fucking rap using an enjoyable and cohesive flow without all that non sense. NC3 is ass.
he sung on how to love i bet you were singing that in the shower. also what about me was fire to those were some of the most popular songs on there albums. but i agree less singing would be better keep it to 1 to 2 songs a projectDon't get too high to look over blessings

when it comes to Wayne's singing i much more prefer his 2007-2013-4 singing. That Rebirth singing is godly and pleasure to the ears(Little Girl Eyes, Paradice, Priceless, As Da World Turns)

Originally posted by Zimmie View Posti agree to a degree that mixtapes should lean to a more rap focused style but i feel like typical classic wayne YMCMB shi they cut corners on everything so nowadays they are reusing album songs and just drop them on a mixtape i don't think that wayne records to some of these like he did during the classic mixtape age where he'd turn a beat on and just go i think his literally lifting unreleased album songs and putting them onto released beats which is why some songs sound so disjointed and weird
They trying to something real wack here and I don't understand how they don't see what's wrong
I think they should just #freevelvet so wayne can do his singing thing and the singing wayne fans can enjoy themselves. But his overall bigger audience wants him to rap. And isn't that what he loves doing the most??
