Yah, Funeral has 2 or 3 structures songs... while other artists have 100% songs on their albums

You want to restructure that sentence.

Aint Got Time or Dreams are two recent examples of perfectly structured/crafted songs that aren't totally generic sounding. Every one of the songs mentioned in the OP are well structured songs. He just does a wider variety of stuff than other artists and is always experimental with his music.
dont agree on every song on the list some im not a fan of, but ya i believe he still can make songs with structure, i feel as an artist himself though he is a lot more comfortable just rapping for 3 minutes straight at this point in his career but i could be wrong, just what i think, he has admitted himself though he needs 'help' with it when tez has to tell him to stop rapping and put a hook in at some points.

He's always been more comfortable just rapping start to finish though, that's part of the reason he started doing mixtapes. Pretty much every album has a couple of songs like that. Even talking about early stuff he's said people like Mannie would remind him to add adlibs and take lines and turn them into hooks, and that to this day when he gets a beat from Mannie or someone like that he will approach it in that sort of way and you can tell on songs like Start This Shit Off, Cap and Gown etc.
Some of his legendary hooks like My Life were from verses.

What he said about Tez is that they'll come in with a hook already on a beat and it seems like that's when you end up with more formulaic/generic songs like Mirror, Trust Nobody, and stuff like that.

It just depends on what sort of song he's doing. In any case idk how anyone can say that not always having songs structured around hooks is unartistic.

Is there anything you're doing a bit differently with this album in comparison to the last one you dropped, Tha Carter V?

With me, what the new thing is for me is actually trying to put out music that sounds like a little more like today’s music. What that means for me is the difference is adding hooks. I forget about hooks. I forget ’em. Somebody gotta come in the booth and stop me from rapping, like, “This is where you stop it and add a hook.”

When I can be bothered to go searching through old interviews on youtube lol. Pretty sure he said something similar in the Mannie Fresh interview on YM Radio.
He has essentially said that a few times though.

As far as the 'Tez' thing I think this is what we're both talking about:

Ya the tez thing I had mixed up with the name but the needing someone to stop him was main thing, and fair enough lol. Ya I think he said when he was younger mannie did help with structure I remember that.
