  • Lil Baby Declares Himself the Lil Wayne of This Generation

"I'm the Wayne of this new generation, niggas foogazi
They can’t fuck with us no type of way, these niggas too lazy
I’m cut from a different type of cloth, I don’t know who raised 'em"

I love lil baby and as far as being the hottest rapper of a generation and consistently putting out songs and features I agree. Cuz tho Kendrick or someone else may be best rapper of the new generation they’re not in the game like baby or Wayne was and constantly putting out music. Baby would fit the bill as far as being hottest rapper and consistently putting out music and staying in the scene. But talent wise they’re in two different ball parks.

                For me it's Uzi.

Uzi vs Baby isn't even close. Uzi also sounds closer to Wayne to me.

He got held up with E/A but if you look at the run since it came out, dude just hasn't missed. His confidence is VERY similar to 2009 Wayne's. as much as the forehead diamond is a meme, Wayne would do shit like that just because he's always liked being different. Uzi's song making ability is way better than Baby's too, Baby says a lot of cool shit, and I love his more thought provoking stuff he's done.

Uzi on the other hand is more marketed to the chill and laid back vibes, the shit you make memories too. in my mid 20s, that's still cool for me, but you got to think we were mostly teens growing up seeing Wayne. the teens are def vbing with Uzi making memories they'll hold onto for years, That's less a thing for Baby I'd think. (being reflective of when we were younger doing the same with Wayne's music)

Uzi has shown he can be deep and thought provoking too while still being his creative and fun self, we're seeing more mature content from him in recent time too, so I think he has a good shot to win over that crowd of people as he's making music for both now.

I agree. I forgot about uzi when I thought about this. Uzi not as in it as baby tho as far as features and everything. If uzi did as many features as baby it would prob be him.
