Well I said Drake "never really does anything controversial or unexpected musically or otherwise". Idk what "he cooled off so his team having to strategize and plan got exposed cuz he couldn't cover it up" is supposed to mean. Nicki literally had huge record labels actively trying to ruin and replace her.

People here just generally focus on negatives. i.e. why Wayne isn't still the #1 biggest selling artist atm rather than why Drake sells more than everyone. In any case they're just different sorts of artists, Wayne takes more risks, tries different things, isn't so predictable. Which is why he's infinitely more interesting than Drake to me.

Wayne’s downfall is not solely about the quality of his music lmao. Kanye/Jay/Em could put out a trash album right now and it won’t affect them at all. Wayne destroyed his image.

Could also be to do with the fact that there are a thousand thousand artists doing versions of Wayne's styles. Like if all of those weren't around perhaps more of the post 2012 generation would have become big Wayne fans rather than fans of Lil baby or whoever...

i agree with you. drake is very brand conscious. so any possibly bad press he jumps on it early. I also think he has safe albums. and if you dont like the album he has an excuse or downplays his work. wayne not afraid of criticism and he will put out his experimental shit even if its not what his fans want from him. he'll put it out bcuz thats what he wanted us to hear. gift and a curse. wayne is a loose cannon and unpredictable and sometimes talks too freely not very aware of backlash. nicki doesnt embrace the youth much and pissed off alot of people when she was the hottest. alot of bad stories or rumors about how she treats people

Yep the music quality isn't as big of a factor as people make it out to be. Wayne isn't white and he doesn't clout chase like kanye. Kanye did every gimmick in the world to promote each album. Nigga even ran for president lmao. He knows how to market thats for sure. Then eminem is white and yes him being white helps him sell if you don't believe that is helping him you are oblivious.

when he was the hottest he could drop anything and it would be everywhere just off the strength it was new wayne now he cooled off so he can drop stuff now and sometimes people mightve missed it. social media is powerful and everybody just repost. thats why he should use his ig and twitter to post give an actual post so people can comment and give feedback dont just post on his story where people just flip thru. he make sure we see them skate clips. even posting the same clip twice. his team got exposed bcuz now we can see where they lack in other departments that come with handling of a superstar when the hit records slow up

Wayne always had better bars and flows.

                        Drake is an industry plant.
