just listend to c6 again and after one week, its just a big dissapointment. i actually had hopes after hearing king karter and welkome to tha karter. if he just stayed in that vibe this album wouldve had alot of love from all over the world. because those songs are reflecting who he really is. i feel its his purest form. not these new modern vibes. its not for him. its just sad to see that this is a carter album.
Also they kouldve known after seeying the negative reactions from tha fix. c6 is just tha fix 2.
also loki's theme at the end with the rock couldve been really hard because i personally love rock wayne, but then it feels he is not making use of it and is just randomly screaming on it. which is not making me feel that song
alsooo who the fuck decided to make that picture of him with the swollen tooth his new profile on spotify like bruhhh where is his gangsta image.
I think Wayne is going to be done with Tha Carter series after this.
He only called this album C6 because of the Carter name and how those albums for him always do well.
But I feel a shift has happened now and we won't get a Carter 7.
I remember years ago him talking about how the difference between a Carter and IANAHB2 or something and saying something along the lines of:
"I know that people have expectations for a Carter album and I know what needs to be delivered, I go into a different mode"
Not an exact quote but it was something very like that.
But it seems like he forgot that the reason Carter albums always do well is because of that, or just doesn't care anymore.
When talking about Funeral he said something like "yeah we could have just called it Carter 6 but we just chose a different name idk".
So there's no difference between the approach he takes to a Carter album versus anything else at this point.
man fuck all that shit he talking. You had that it right in the beginning. I cant stand that shit. If im enjoying it why are you trying to force your opinion on everyone else that YOU dont ike it. Cool thats YOU that aint gonna listen. thats why i instantly started listening before mad reviews came out. The hate is def forced. first day talking to people about the album a LOT of people said “ i got like through 2-5 songs” yea you started seeing the hate on the net and aint wanna be seeing enjoying an album most shitting on and on top of that never finished listening to the whole project themselves. They hate i turn Peanuts 2 N Elephant up louder
Literally, the intensity of the hate was the social media hive mind that most people seem to be a part of nowadays, people afraid to express anything other than hate because they don't want to be 'clowned' or judged by the mob. People were literally online asking for other people to tell them what to think before they had even listened to the album. People who listened to three songs saying Wayne is washed up etc. So much of it comes from the hysterical kendrick stans and people just follow along.
I'm seeing this trend now of people trying to discredit Wayne's whole legacy, saying his music has aged badly etc. and that he was a bad influence on hip hop. But we know Wayne has always had lots of haters and that a lot of people who say they're fans are fickle as fuck.
If people don't like the album then whatever, but anyone who adopts someone else's opinion about music that they actually enjoy themselves just to fit in is just pathetic.
