lil wayne when he went hard on the carter two was when he was at the top of the game and he's been at the top for the last 3 or 4 years and i just hope that his rebirth shit doesnt keep goin on. yeah he had some good songs but he had some stupid ass songs as well
even though c2 was epic and he has definitely changed...i would say c3 and the sessions that followed up to it were amazing...he put out a consistent amount of good music, there were like 100 so could have been c3 tracks...that was some good shit for sure...he's def on a total superstar high right now and that reflects on his music but with that type of swag he still can make good music like "no ceilings"..
but you heard him in nino2 ...hes like "i'm not feeling this shit right now.." he could have been talking in general 'cause hes like "when I start feelin, you other rappers better watch out' ...The point I wanted to make is that probably when all this superstar shit fades a bit and after prison...he will probably feel something again and really get back to work on c4...the thing we hear I think is too many features..and the features are up to 300...thats just crazy ...some are getting weak and generic...but thats just work ..haha we should wait till c4 comes out to judge..
I also wanted to add that...some Rebirth tracks are pretty dope...the whole album aint as consistent as his past but there are some definitely dope tracks on there. YM album was also pretty good all the way through..IT's not bad time right now for Weezy actually..

Why, because we all have our own opinon, and they're completely different from yours?
Look, we all know you think Wayne hasn't changed, and that we're all wrong and stupid for not agreeing with you, but you don't have to keep on coming back in here complaining. Nobody really cares anymore.
imo 2007-2008 was big years for wayne. but after that nino brown 2 i deff think weezy still got it in him. watching him record doa and banned tv was insane. i wish we could have seen drought 3 like that. im glad hes blown up so much as he has, because if he didnt we wouldnt have nino browns or the carters documentaries. and tbh i think the way he dresses now is way hotter (no homo haha) than that gangsta shit back in the day.
I'm a GIANT in this bitch move the G and add an S and put the I before the N and put the A in front of that and that is what I am to the end
That's a SAINT muthafucka to simplify it for them...
08 Wayne was the prime Wayne to me.
The droughts were still bumpin, he was gaining fame and his biggest track dropped, Lollipop.
His best selling album ever, Tha Carter III dropped and sold a million copies in one week.
He dropped Dedication 3 which showed how versitle he is and I thought it was a bomb mixtape.
He was leaning and so creative.
His attitude was sick. So cocky and like fuck you I'm me.
Wayne is still that same guy at heart today but I think he is a lot happier now.. not drinking syrup is the biggest thing.
He seems more open to people and less focused. He even said he started writing.. that's crazy.
So crazy.
Wayne can never go back to his old ways but after jail I hope he is a little differen't.
Yet, I hear No Ceilings, Inkredible verse, Blood Niggaz verse and I'm like damn this dude still got it.
