Listened to the black album last night and just remembered how good it was

Jay was at the top of his game on this record and its pretty much flawless, beat wise and lyrical wise

Last two cds I bought. I can listen to Ludacris when I'm in the mood but good album but Monica album was weak. 10 songs and only 2 worth listening too!!!

Tech N9ne - The Lost Scripts Of K.O.D EP

Tech does what he always does and goes in angry and upset about the troubles in his life. If you don't know, K.O.D stands for King Of Darkness and this EP is just 5 songs that Tech calls the closure of his K.O.D era and that he is soon to record happier songs.

The use of lyrics such as "i aint switchin to main stream only, what is happening is you watchin the mainstream go me" and "but darkness is selling but i really wanna put yall some light on the shelf, will you still be able to feel me even if im not talkin about trying to kill me" just point out a small example of how Tech feels and what his future intentions are.

He refrains from spitting extremely quickly like he has become well known for doing but he still lives up to his name in the third verse of Stress Relief and in the song 00N9NA where he has patches of spitting line after line seemingly not needing to breathe.

Rating = 9/10
Why = All 3 artists bring great lyrics to this track but Krizz Kaliko stood out mostly for me

Stress Relief
Rating = 10/10
Why = Just listen to the track, it is the sole reason Tech can't get on a big label but the same reason that makes him like no other rapper

00N9NA
Rating = 7/10
Why = My least favorite of the 5 tracks. It seems out of place and a bit to happy to be with the rest of the tracks but Tech does have an amazing flow on the track

Pain Killer (feat. Krizz Kaliko)
Rating = 8.5/10
Why = I would have rated this higher but I wasn't really feeling the hook but the idea and execution of the track is on point

Last Sad Song (featuring Krizz Kaliko)
Rating = 10/10
Why = A hugely passion filled track where Tech expresses his desire to be happy, this is what rap should be more like

Overall
Rating = 9/10
Why = I can't give this a perfect 10 due to it only being an EP of 5 tracks and the fact that I didn't feel 00N9NA fit well enough with the other tracks. But it's 20 minutes of music that really is a must listen and it just further establishes why Tech has become such a huge artist despite being so different from any mainstream rap artist

Drake - So Far Gone (Mixtape)

- Has a sick vibe throughout, singing grows on you, and he kills the rapped parts
- Great guest appearances (Trey Songz, Weezy, Bun B)
- All songs stand out.

Best Collabos-
Ignant Sh*t ft Lil Wayne (Weezy Drops perhaps the best verse on the tape. FIRE)
Uptown ft Lil Wayne & Bun B ( Bun B KILLS IT)

Best mixtape of '09 - Cop that now if you haven't already.
