I'll admit I haven't heard much of either, but here are why I personally don't care for them.

Subject matter- there are so many rappers out there spitting about money, cars, getting head, etc. its boring.

Delivery- it's just boring. I can hardly understand it half the time.

Lyrics- I could write better lyrics.


I'm not hating... ok I'm hating a bit... but I just can't get into them.

It ain't about not being on Wayne's level.
They're music (you can add Shawty Lo, Soulja Boy, Lil B & OJ Da Juiceman to those names) is... bad. It is really bad. They sound like they're getting shot in every word. It's ridiculous. There are a couple Gucci Mane tracks that can be listened to, but the rest?
Plus... they rap about being the greatest in the game... the hottest in the game... straight bullshit.

Gucci Mane verse:

Soulja Boy verse:

I used to be a huuuuge Gucci hater. But then my friends kept saying he's so good so I listened to a few songs and realized he's not good, but he's not bad either. He's in the middle somewhere. Waka Flocka on the other hand, I like Oh Lets Do It just cause it was the perfect party anthem for a bit. But lyrically, dude blows.

I think it's simply hating or just not liking the fundementals of rap. Gucci Mane is a good rapper. We Steady Mobbin for example, his verse was legit, and he has numerous adlibs. I don't get mad like y'all when they yell FLACKA or GUCCI because their shouting themselves out. Back in the day, rappers had hypemen. Now today they do it themselves, what's bad about that? And people don't take the time to listen to Gucci or Flacka, they here a little and then instantly hate.

Reasons why I believe Gucci & Flacka don't suck:
-They say things gangstas would say, and make it rhyme.
-The shit they say is legit, and the use massive ebonics (probably why some may not understand their music)
- Example "Hip-Hop.. Police, say they looking after me, How you looking after me, you know I got a murder B. Yeah I got a murder B, from just tryna get somethin to eat." That line was from Photoshoot, which was sick as hell. He saying they been on his tail since his murder case, when he almost got robbed.


Basically what Al Pacino did with Scarface, Gucci's not acting, he's rapping it on a mixtape.

Well me personally? I dig Gucci..I mean, it's straight up party music ..but still it's dope shit. Waka Flocka is an idiot though, the guy is wack as fuck..Oh Let's Do It is the only thing going for him.
