Nah sure....well i was't comparing that verse to this one....but In this case that verse to me isn't lyrical...its powerful but not lyrical....No word play, or rhyme complexity...nor lines that you gotta rewind to get the real jist....that verse is a good one but its more of a damn thats deep than a damn what the fuck did he just say......u get where im coming from....

So powerful + deep lyrics aren't lyrical =\ ?

And of course there was word play, every line was a metaphor for something bigger. He made juxtapositions relate to one person and it made complete sense. "If we die in eachother's arms, still get laid in that afterlife...If we die in eachother's arms, still get laid, yea..." - you may not need to 'rewind' that line to understand the wordplay, but at the end of the day it means more and is way more relevant to the track than something like "My n-ggas high enough to swaing from the ceiling" - using wordplay for the sake of using wordplay.

I don't know, I guess for me I appreciate lyrics more when they have 100% to do with the song and not just thrown into a song for a random punchline. Powerful lyrical depth >

Don't get me wrong, I understand where you're coming from. The lyrics aren't 'What the fuck did he just say?' - but I think that was the point on this album...He said himself he tried to avoid those kind of punchlines. They wouldn't fit with the kind of album this was...Different.

Excuse the extreme comparison but how would a punchlines fit into albums like The Other Side Of The Moon? Or fuck Classic Rock, any Progressive Rock song? Kind of silly...
