      Re: J. Cole

Cole is my favorite rapper and the only one I've ever met. Listened to The Warm Up the day it dropped and I still have it in my rotation today. I can relate to so many of his songs, it's weird. "Dreams", "Can't Cry", "Lil Ghetto Nigga", "Unabomber", "Can I Live", "Dead Presidents II", "Show Me Somethin'", "Won't Be Long", and his features on B.o.B.'s "Gladiators", Wale's "Beautiful Bliss", and Jay-Z's "A Star Is Born" are several of my favorites from him.

As much as I like Cole, Blu is the best up-and-coming hip-hop artist right now. His complex metaphors, story telling ability, and long winded flow are on another level, and his album with Exile, Below The Heavens, is my favorite album of all time. And LOL at people saying Wiz and Drake are better than Cole.

Cole shits on Drake, He's better than Wayne, and listen to A Star is Born if you think he's "not seeing" Jay.

Yeah, Blu is really good. Below The Heavens is a really good album as well as TheGodleeBarnes(LP) however the entire TGB album is low quality because he lost the song files and couldn't master it. Doesn't change the fact that there's some really good lyrics in it though. He hasn't really dropped anything in awhile though aside from his two verses on The Roots' new album, a verse on TiRon's album, and a verse or two on Exile's new album this year. No new songs. The dude literally falls off the face of the earth for months and no one hears anything about any upcoming projects from him, then he shows up and does a concert or interview out of nowhere to remind everyone he is still alive haha.

Agreed on Cole's verse on "Just Begun". The one thing I didn't like was the style of verse for that particular song though. I thought that was a good stage for him to drop some storytelling or something deep in that verse instead of a bunch of braggadocios lines. I mean, it was a great verse in itself, but it's not the type I'd throw on a track with three of today's best lyricists either.

i'll prob download some of his work, and yeah it was a bit different from Mos, Kweli, and Electronicas verse. Though i love it when he makes verses like on The Badness

lulz! Why can't he be better than Wayne? I think everyone knows that he's better than Drake,
And if you think his verse was "average as fuqqq" then you obviously have ridiculously high standards or you're just plain stupid. #justsayin.
