If you just repeat "Swag" throughout a song with absolutely zero lyricism at all, and its a hit, there's obviously something wrong with the listeners.

Soulja had a #1 song on Billboard for 8 weeks, Cudi hasn't come close too that with anything he's put out.

Day N Nite etc is pathetic attempt at hip-pop.

though i do sometimes disagree with sean don, there are times when he is completely and utterly correct.

this is not one of those times.

to consider someone a "great rapper" or even a good "artist" you can NOT refer to their so-called "hits".

by doing so, and by sean don's logic, soulja boy is better than legends like "nas" and even great collaborative efforts by the likes of wu-tang & slaughterhouse just to name a few.

no offense taken, but in old school's defense, it is factual that it was a lot more difficult back then, when artists would do anything for a few spins whereas nowadays people like soulja & lil b have a ton of media outlets to voice their craft.

so by looking at it that way, all 'new school' would be a joke. but i'm not close minded, so i don't view it that way.

i'll take big l, kool g rap, krs one, rakim & big daddy kane over lil b, soulja boy, & lil twist anyday.
as well as james brown, al green & b.e. king over chris brown, jay sean & bruno mars.

I'm Not Disagreeing. I'm A Huge Fan Of Old School (Big L, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, NWA, Wu-Tang, Eric B. & Rakim Ect...)

pardon sean don but to end this meaningless "SB vs Cudi" discussion.
              Sales aren't everything.

              Cudi > SB

              proof?

              Soulja Boy tell 'em!
              Hopped up out the bed,

It's my turn, now turn it up
              Yeah, yeah
I put my team on, and my theme song
Now it's time to turn it up
              Yeah, yeah

I got a question why they hating on me,
I got a question why they hating on me
I ain't did nothing to 'em, but count this money
And put my team on, now my whole clic stunning
              Boy what's up, yeah
              Boy what's up, yeah

When I was 9 years old I put it in my head
That I'm gonna die for this gold

Crush a bit, little bit, roll it up, take a hit
Feelin' lit, feelin' light, 2 a.m., summer night.
I don't care, hand on the wheel,
Drivin' drunk, I'm doin' my thing
Rollin in the Midwest side and out,
Livin' my life, getting' out dreams
People told me slow my roll,
              I'm screaming out, fuck that
Imma do just what I want,
              Lookin' ahead no turnin' back
If I fall, If I die,
Know I lived it to the fullest,
If I fall, if I die,
Know I lived and missed some bullets

I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know,
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold
I'll be fine, once I get it, I'll be goooood.
