alright, genius video, but let me ask; is this mr. rager killing scott? or scott killing mr. rager?

i don't know because looking at it from both perspectives it could go either way, but i'm leaning toward mr. rager kills scott in the end and takes over during the hypnosis.

but also, i thought cudi was leaving the dark part of his life, so at first i thought it was scott killing mr. rager symbolizing that only he could destroy mr. rager, meaning the angry, darker personality inside of him. this is backed up by scott swinging on kanye, possibly symbolizing that the "rager" inside of him was out of control. but after watching a second time it looked like mr. rager had fully taken over.

either way, fantastic, genius, entertaining and thought provoking video.

i think Scott kills Mr. Rager.

at the end she is calling his name and the Cudi there is wearing the red and black jacket.

right, and i figured that would be the more logical route to go, but at the end he kind of reacts to "scott!" slowly, and just glares at her at the end, seeming as though some other entity or personality may have taken over. plus, the black and red jacket looks kind of sinister to me, so i didn't really know what to make of it.

either way could make sense. loved the 'ye cameo.

okay so i smoked a fat blunt and sat down to take a crack at this video.

                so bear with me...

okay. so it starts out with her putting the Cudi we see in the news and such under hypnosis. There are two characters at first. A darker figure with fire and mystery and a seemingly more heroic figure who is curious and naive.

the curious Cudi doesn't know where he is but he knows he has something to do. as the music starts the darker Cudi drops the flame symbolizing the beginning of the Journey of Mr. Rager. the entire video is based on the adventure that the brighter Cudi takes to get to a certain unknown goal. but in real life Cudi has issues that he deals with and tries to cover up with Coke, as most all of us know. Thus, we have Mr. Rager, Cudi's coked out alter-ego. That's the one with the gold jacket. it probably reflcts cudi's outlook on his cocaine habit. At first, he felt like he was on top of the world and he could take on all these red/black minions. But then as he turns on his own friends (almost punching Kanye) he starts to lose faith in Mr. Rager and starts to get his ass whipped. The random girl that throws dust at him probably symbolizes the women in his life (his mother, his girlfriend, and i think he has a daughter) and their disapproval with his newly acquired drug habit. She throws the dust in his face as a sort of "Wake the fuck up" which then at that moment Mr. Rager turns around and is stabbed by the more sinister looking Cudi. Although I think it is more of a message of how he went back to the Cudi that he was before. a darker more mysterious Cudi rather than a more public coked out cudi. The darker Cudi is saying "Shhhh, shhhh" as he kills the brighter Cudi as if to try and soothe him into his death smoothly. When the hypnotist wakes Cudi up he is still saying "Shhh, shhh" as if that is the darker sinister Cudi that wakes up. Also, the jacket points to the idea that the darker Cudi woke up obviously. And if that meant that it was the Cudi from before then that would make sense that she was calling out "Scott" and he responded to it.

that's what i got at least.

I think I came in my pants.

That was fucking amazing. A lot of different things going on and really eerie, dark. I think it just reflects the two persona's of Cudi.

i think you hit the nail on the head, although there is still a couple of loose ends for me.

what is the symbolism in the angry mob all wearing the same thing as the original cudi? this threw me off.

i'm guessing its his past coming back to try and save him although it looks like they are trying to kill him.

the way i saw it, they used colors to make you cheer for the brighter cudi but really that's Mr. Rager and the rest of the people are who you should be cheering for.
