Personally I see:
Eminem, Nas, Hov, Rakim, Lauryn Hill, Jadakiss, Raekwon, Andre, AZ, RZA, Ghostface to name a few all before him.

Meh I used to be like you, naming the classic old schools but they're old and don't do shit anymore TI is consistent, and when he's not in jail (smh) he releases a lot of music and stays on topic in all his songs The King album is raw

As for fabolous...Soul Tape is better than some rappers albums tbh.

I never understood the best rapper alive concept.

How can Lil Wayne can claim to be the beat rapper alive while Eminem and Nas is alive dumbfounds me.

Well not everyone can have a great verse like Drake .

IMO his verse verse was better Ross'. He didn't straight kill but all of them were disappointing IMO.
