these are a few of the greatest r&b singers of all time.
chris brown doesn't come close to them in my book.
r&b is rhythm & blues. what chris brown does is a dumbed-down, industry-fueled, pop-version of the genre.
he has an amazing voice and is mad talented, don't get me wrong, but to say he's the best ever is kind of insulting.

R. Kelly is the king of baby making music and I can't never see Chris taking that title from him. Both good artist, Chris have better vocals and R. Kelly have better r&b songs. Chris said it his self that hes not a r&b artist: start at the 9:30 mark
