Because he has good songs.

His cooking, "Ellen DeGeneres" type songs are all for fun and shouldn't be taken seriously. In those types of songs he's more or less poking fun at the usual gangster rapper cliches (i.e. OJ Da Juiceman). He has serious songs, and a lot of people, including myself, think they're actually really good. He has a lot of talent, people just take him the wrong way.

And if you've given his more serious material and chance and still don't like it, fine by me. But there's no reason to hate on a dude who's trying to spread positivity and let people know living the gang life is just stupid. All his cooking/"gangster" songs are just for a laugh.

Plus you have to respect him at the very least, he's completely self made. He runs his own label and is the only unsigned (to a major record label) rapper with thousands and thousands of dollars and girls. BasedGod!
