Nah, if I want songs to put me in a good mood or vibe to I'll put on REAL good mood bangers, some David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia etc, dance music pretty much. A rap "banger" to me is something like Got Money (T-Wayne) or Put On (Jeezy & Kanye), not this shit.

Yeah you don't have to think when listening to Soulja, 'cause he clearly doesn't put any thought into his music.

Justifying Soulja's abysmal lack of talent as "non deep, fun, good fun, casual music" or whatever is an insult to the musicians who make that sort of music and do it properly. Soulja is talentless, plain and simple IMO.

Make a three minute song, have the hook take up about two minutes and fill the other minute up with extremely wack lyrics. Not that hard fam.

I can't tell if your trolling or not. Successful in what respect, his last album did 13,000 units mate. He's not respected or even acknowledged by many of his peers. He's a laughing stock in the industry and hasn't ever dropped a hot verse. In what respect is he successful?

He got lucky with a breakthrough smash that's allowed him up to now to put out utter trash, but the gravy train won't go on forever dawg.

He wrote, produced and rapped Crank That which was #1 for 7 weeks, last year he was listed #10 on Forbes, he has over 100,000,000 views on YouTube, and he's worth $23,000,000....in my eyes that's successful.

Also, he is respected by many of his peers, 50 Cent, Trey Songz, Gucci Mane, Jeezy etc.

Soulja Boy has talent no matter what you say....maybe not everything he puts out is fire or worth listening too, but he has some dope catchy shit for sure.

He had a modicum of early success, and Crank Dat was a success due to it's surroundings just as much as the song. Yes it's catchy, but doesn't show talent.

He's that rich due to early success IMO or perhaps other ventures, his music can't be making him much cash now.

I don't want to get into a full argument here as it's clear we're of wildly varying opinions on the guys talent, but to me he really is an embodiment of hip hop's worst traits.

Also, he may be respected by a few B-List rappers and a couple who are borderline A-List or ex A-List, but you will NEVER see any true greats associate with this clown. Snoop I wouldn't count as he seems determined to work with everyone these days regardless and is pretty awful lyrically himself most of the tim
