Kendrick album surprise dropping jan 27th ?

That’s less than a week away. When we think back to Kendrick’s interview with Hip Hop Wired, we remember this quote, which was in regards to his joint project with J. Cole:

This is probably the situation where we obviously have albums coming out at the same time so that ideal project may be a little bit more realistic, now that we both out of the way with the albums.


Well Cole’s project dropped more than a month ago, and we’re still waiting on something from Kendrick (in fact, we haven’t even got a CDQ of the joint he performed on the Colbert Report). Well, we might finally have that something. In a leaked image of Wal-Mart’s upcoming albums list, they have Kendrick Lamar slotted for January 27th:





Keep in mind, lists like this have been wrong in the past, but I wouldn’t put this one past Kendrick. I guess all we can really do is wait and see.
