He means there were people telling him he made it because he fucks with Dre, but he doesn't want to just ride Dre's coattails to success, he wants to achieve it on his own. So he won't accept anything that Dre tries to give him if he hasn't earned it.

By the way, my opinion regarding Section. 80 has changed a lot. I used to think it had a lot of fillers and i didnt like a few tracks. Now i fucking love each and every song. Project of the year.
