I've always wondered how DJs like Khaled and Drama for example can have songs and albums totally credited as theirs without contributing musically at all. I understand that they are producers and handle beats and whatnot, but what makes a song yours? Just mixing collaborations? "I'm On One" was produced by T-Minus for example but its a Khaled song. He's quoted saying he isn't a rapper in any way whatsoever and has no interest in being one. Ive researched through articles, wiki etc about this but I guess I need a better understanding.

Re: Question about DJs
DJ Khaled & Drama are signed under artists and under their label contacts part of their deal is to release studio albums. You don't have to rap, sing or even produce to have copyright to a track, they both have there signature tags they say on their songs.

That makes sense though Jrock, It's just weird calling 'Oh My' or 'We Takin Over' a Drama/Khaled song
