Damn, Never Knew How Highly People Rated The Documentary.

        It's A Classic, Yes.
But, The Production Carried It (A Little). In My Opinion.

I'll probably get around to it sometime. Though to be honest, with my view on 90's hip hop right now, it'll take me a while to gain the interest and incentive.

Re: Top 10 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums.

I'll check both out and post back soon.

EDIT: They're dope. Not going to even front on that fact.

But to me it's like...if you didn't grow up looking up to it and bumping it or when it's fresh in the game, but instead looking back on it after it's already been kind of done by others(IMO) you're not gonna be able to see why it's so great. I think Cole, Kendrick, Drake, and prime Wayne are all good enough to do things like that.

I can see why it was the best thing ever back then, but not now. I mean in '94 no one was really doing that, and hip hop was still basically brand new. I could see if he was rhyming at a level that hasn't been reached since or something, but...he still sounds like Nas to me. Only thing that's really changed is what he references. Honestly after hearing that, I don't understand why people say he's fallen off.

I can see people like my uncle saying it's one of the best things ever though. And I can truly appreciate Illmatic if that's what the whole album is like, but I don't think it's untouchable at all.
