  • Why do rappers switch up their styles when its going good for them?

I was surfing, and I found this.
‪Keep Me Alive Mac Miller Jukebox‬‏ - YouTube

    And Im just like..
Mac? why'd you stop rapping like that?

Same thing with Wiz Khalifa, like his old shit like Chewy were super good. And he switched to more of the pop sound, rolling papers was basically a damn pop album, im not saying it was bad, its just like whyyyy switch your style up?
I know when you get signed, they start to change you, but yeah.

    And Kid Cudi going rock..?
Come one, why cant we have the "Soundtrack 2 my life" type Cudi back?

    Lol @ rape like that.

But I think the worst is when R&B singers go Dance. Usher is good now, but he was the shit back in the days with his R&B.
    And Enrique?

But yeah, I feel ya in em...

Because if you rap/sing the same way all the time it will get old and you won't sell
So it's pretty much a business thing

Like Em he changed his style up and it's a lot better now (imo)
But so did he with Relapse and that was a total flop

Just trying to be "new" all the time
And hope the public will like it

Wayne changed his style up plenty of times
          Almost every album sounds different
