does anyone agree with me when i say that mixtapes are better than albums in the perspective of artistic freedom, subject matter, content, and overall build.
like especially when an artist wants to be known or wants to get attention, they put in soo much effort to the mixtapes that it sometimes can be better than the album itself.
perfect example is drakes "so far gone"
it was better than "thank me later"
big sean's mixtapes were better than the finally famous album.
anybody disagree?
another perfect example, wale was briliant on his mixtapes, especially "mixtape about nothing" but then he went commerical on his albums.
