I loved Frank's music but the coming out of the closet shit really got to me because I'm literally homophobic and I was afraid that would change his music and shit and singing about bitches. Haven't heard the album.
What I'm trying to say is, what are the queer songs on this album so I can avoid them? Thanks.
For not wanting to listen to music that goes against my personal beliefs? And especially not wanting to listen to music supporting a message that I don't believe in? Immature.
We'll see....We still have K Dot, Kanye, GOOD Music and Life is Good......this year gonna turn out great...KILLER MIKE in my top 10 so far also...
Yea.. this year will be one the best years for hip hop in a while if all the albums that are supposed to drop this year actually do.. (Act II, Kdot & Cole Collab, Kid With the Green Backpack, Black Hippy Album, Nas.Com, etc.).. And we still have albums that could be dope to like Trouble Man, ONIFC, LongLiveA$AP, Wolf (If in 2012), Next 50 album, Dreams & Nightmares, Food & Liquor II, IANAHBII, Gibbs Debut (If in 2012), etc. So many damn albums lol..
My top 5 right now:
1. Live From the Underground
2. Control System
3. Channel Orange
4. Mysterious Fionk (SGP)
5. The Stoned Immaculate
Despite the blatant references in "Forrest Gump" it's actually a great song, one of the better songs on the whole album
overall, i'd give it a 3.5 or 4/5
I'm glad that unlike seemingly most of the people on here, I can just enjoy the music without judging it based on Frank's personal life, no respect lost for Mr. Ocean on my part.
and half of y'all saying you won't even listen to his meaningful songs, whether they be about men or not, are the same people that rap along to Nicki rapping about sucking balls...
Thinkin bout you is only gay if you make it gay. He could be talking about his long-lost sister or brother and it would still make sense.
The only traks that are fully gay are the ones where he says shit directly to a man. I dont think it wud make it awkward cos in waynes novacane he's like 'he used to make me feel so good'. Sounded gay as fuk when i first heard it but then I just took it as if it was the woman's point of view. DO the same wit the gay songs nd youl be AAIIIGHT
