Is Autotune a Crutch?

a lot of ppl hate on artists that use autotune calling it a crutch for a lack of singing but is that true? i dont think it's a crutch i think its a certain style that some artists can pull of some can't

i think the weeknd has used it geniusely i think kanye made good use of it as well despite what ppl say, i also think wayne has his moments with it

you guys think autotune is wack?

I don't see it being different than adding a reverb or echo effect Sometimes i even change my pitch It all goes with editing to make it sound good. As long ad it sounds good

I personally don't mind it if it's not over used for example Wayne's Most Hated Rockstar had way too much auto-tune.
