does it simply save the number of plays on every possible player or do I have to play these track on the site itself? and does is work with iTunes?

ya it just collects the information from your player, works with pretty much everything (itunes, winamp, windows media player, vlc etc...)

pretty simple actually, you dont have to do shit lol (besides creating an account & downloading that "scrobbler")
