the sampled track is from 1979 (i think), so it's probably too old lol

If you want space, stick with MP3. Very lossy though; you won't be getting the best quality out of the song.

MP3 < AAC < FLAC = WAV = ALAC = AIFF

The last 4 are lossless files which means it has all the data from the CD in the file so you're getting real CDQ quality. 320 V0 is col though, but FLAC and ALAC are the future. That's why I'm buying CD's again.

For GFID, there is a difference in quality between the lossless CD rip and the iTunes, but unless you have the right gear and tuned ears, you may not be able to tell.

Speaking of which, @IceMan do you have Playing With Fire, Action and Whip it in 320 V0? I know this isn't the right place to request it, but I am going to cop a physical C3 soon but those tracks aren't on the CD and I want the highest quality.
