Alot of people always say hip-hop isn't hip-hop anymore. Do you ever see the genre going back to it's roots, meaning that it's more focused on lyrics, relating to the listeners, and the competitive nature. I know music always changes, but I personally think that hip-hop could make a strong comeback. Especially with alot of these newer artists like J Cole, Big KRIT, Kendrick, Slaughterhouse, Meek Mill, etc. Because for awhile hip-hop was awful with artists shining like Soulja Boy and all those shitty ass rappers. I think it's definitely heading in the right direction though regarding the quality of the music. 2012 has been a very promising year so far for music, alot better than the past like 3-4 years.

If you don't like new songs, listen to old songs. People will be hating new things even tho they would be perfect. In 20 years people who likes this 'new' hip-hop will be hating the new style of hip-hop. It's been like that always...

I'm not saying I hate all the new music, I actually said alot of the newer artists are bringing that real hip-hop type feel back, meaning there lyrics are nice, there's meaning in the songs, and it's not just stupid ass lines throughout the whole song which it has been for alot of artists the past few years. I listen to new music and I don't hate it, I actually think it's heading in the right direction
