to be honest, i am really not to sure about the difference between a MC and a rapper, krs-one said that "an MC is someone who spits to uplift their people while a rapper spits something illegal (some shit like that, it was his verse on classic) i get confused b/c they call biggie an MC but he glorified the mafiaso persona, they also say too short & snoop dogg are MC's but they dont have the most greatest lyrics, so if i rap i abt ballin & women, am i just a rapper? if i rap abt issues such as poverty or politics, am i an MC? anyone care 2 share the difference between a rapper and a MC?
