I've stated it was overhated, I highly doubt I ever said I liked it. If I did damn I took a L that time.

You see you silly Loopay stans, that ain't a double. It has one meaning plus a reference. There is no double meaning. Loopay fans

            Also lawl. Greatest lyrically.
im gonna ignore evreything else you said but one thing stands out to me...Content? I can see if you say Lupe has no content now..but back in his prime?

The Lyrical content on F&L was dope and The Cool is damn near a Concept album

Lupe is one of the GOAT lyricist..you just choose to glance over it and call it "complex"...its not all about him rhymes being complex

give me your criteria of what being lyrical is and i guarantee you Lupe is (or was) above average in every category

Dawg The Cool has 6 tracks that follow a story. That ain't no damn concept album. This is not even a exaggeration. F&L was doap. No qualms in that. He uses extended metaphors that essentially attempt to provoke thought of the audience but by doing so his substance if you may decreases. Like full songs are made of metaphors and concepts but they convey essentially nothing.

Lupe isn't top 5 lyricists oat imo. He's just too pretentious.

He definitely isn't above average in slant rhyming, rhyme schemes, multi's etc..

Eminem doesn't have a metaphor for every little thing so obviously Loopay holds more substance.

metaphors can be empty if they are just thrown around all the time, idk i dont mind lupe i like some songs of his but he stikes me as a rapper that just smoothly says a lot of big important themes in his songs but doesnt tie them together which is why i said that when he said he had more content than Em,

Marshall concept song>>>>>>>>>> Lupe concept song

                    >>>>>>>>>> lupes entire career

eminem is able to truly capture anger and frustration in his concept songs, Lupe just says a bunch of nice things and hopes to god that we figure out what he is tryin to say

Why yall actin like Em had so much lyrical content? He didnt really. Em is the GOAT imo but lupe had just as much if not more lyrical content..Frank just chooses to focus on the complex metaphors than what he's actually rapping about

just because Em can capture being angry in a song? Lupe doesn't rap about being angry lol..

The Cool (the song on Food and Liquor) is a better concept song than any concept song Em has done

Hey Frank, have you seen Em's freestyle from that new Art of Rap movie? What do you think:

And since we're talking bout Lupe, what do you think of this
