Ok...that doesn't exactly scream mainstream awareness. He's still pretty much an unknown. No one says, "Oh, Freddie Gibbs is wack." They say, "Who? Freddie Krueger? Freddie Mercury?" And the one's that know him doesn't say bad things about him.

nah i understand what you mean. most people don't know him, yea. but if you're really into hip-hop you'll know him.

but what i try to tell you, hip-hop artist that are popular fuck with him. and he didn't put out a Major Label debut album. that's probably why a lot of mainstream fans don't know him. he build his name mostly by his rap skills
