LOL, that album was NOT a classic. It was by no means flawless. To many average songs. Great lyrics, but average songs. You sayin GKMC is on par with Illmatic? Ready To Die? My Dark And Twisted Fantasy? Marshall Mathers LP? Wu Tang Forever? All Eyez On Me? LOL if you do.

The thing is, you can write entire essays about the hidden greatness of Kendrick's album (how "Swimming Pools" is an allegory for our narcotic generation).

Really with Drake all I see is "his bars are dope" and "he mixes rapping and singing".

GKMC. We witnessed a classic born before our eyes. A year later it still hasn't been surpassed in quality and Kendrick is still the best rapper alive.

Not in 1000 generations. As a matter of fact, besides 808's, I'd take all of Kanye's albums over GKMC. I thoroughly enjoy GKMC by the way. The hype of Kendrick is warranted IMO tho, since I think he has the capabilities to actually create a classic. Just disagree that GKMC is " IT ".

I thought that was a mixtape, LOL. Anyways, I enjoyed it, A LOT. I enjoy all of his work, he's the best thing going right now, and he can only get better.
