They are cocks who don't even credit the producers, need good lawyers and you can fuck them over .
So the producer didn't get paid until 7 years after he made the beat, meanwhile he isn't allowed to give the beat to anyone else cause it's 50's now..
I always thought producers should get equal pegging on the back of a CD. Every song should have written next to it who produced it, because that is the lifeblood of the song!
That said, some producers are mad rich. Swizz Beatz.. and you just have to look at Scott Storch..

If that didn't work I would put it out in the world that I indeed made the instrumental and make it known, let that brew and then try and take 50 to court.
I love Scott Storch but it's a shame what happened to him with drugs. He ended up getting cool with lots of people in the music game, so they respected him. If your just some random dude who happened to make something these people would want I could see you getting taken advantage of.המוסד למודיעין ולתפקידים מיוחדים

If I was that dude with the beat with 50 Cent I would try and get in contact with Fif and reason with him, just being nice and try and explain why I would want at least a small check.

I think it's rough tbh. The same way Birdman and co treating their producers.
Scott Storch fucked up royally. He thought he could stay hot forever.
Guys like Timbo, Swizz, Premo, they've all gone through droughts. But to make a beat and not get paid for 7 years is like painting someones fence and not get paid for it for 7 years, it amounts to the same dynamic. you did a job, you expect to be paid for it in a reasonable time frame..

Like how you mentioned DJ Premier though, him and Lord Finesse are some of my favorite golden age producers. Far as Scott Storch, just don't mess with cocaine too much! Guy was stupid with it.Last edited by nickiminajsitonmyface; 01-11-2015, 12:05 AM.המוסד למודיעין ולתפקידים מיוחדים

Dudes have so much money but penny pinch on beats, scumbags. It would say something too if I was big and decided to blackball an artist. The producers are literally 50% of the Hip-Hop culture, if an idiot blow dealer doesn't respect that then he probably shouldn't be involved in the culture in the first place.
