its because he had to adapt to the musical side of the game. That's what held him back he even says it in those interviews above; some people just wanna dance. He said he had to try not to be too lyrical... But he's blowin up now top 3 album in the country right now. Idk imo he is the dopest and I can relate to him a lot.

yeah thats true, he said Diddy told him he has to slow down and write songs that people can dance to, and he just doesnt seem keen to do that. Clearly doesnt want to be seen as a sell out, but fuck it, id rather sell a million records and be called a sell out tbh.
