      for sure a lot of the scene is inspired by UK grime i think its because of the similar accents from aus and UK they suit that grime/drilll vibe a lot of artists from aus used to fake american accents to catch more ears but no body was open to hearing it but the fact the accents are being embraced are really opening doors for the scene over here its been dead for years haha

      i feel that was a similar issue in the UK a lot of artists would fake accents or they wouldnt fit certain song styles esp in the early days but once the UK embraced they accents and found grime/drill sound the scene exploded i think something similar is happening here in aus

        Yeah that's definitely true about the accents. At least a few UK rappers were using Americanised voices when I was young.

        I kinda love how they're taking more inspiration from the UK, eventually they'll develop a whole new sound. The most American sounding of those tracks was the one I disliked.
