  • GODS OF THE CITY

as we lay our guns down in fair Veriona
visions of dying star crossed lovers are our regrets components
we're sorry looking sorry so please dont condone us
trying to fight our demons but we're our own opponents
    doing this has became risky
consuming yourself but yet still empty
    connumtrum
fought your hardest but only won some
but in retrospect that's better than if you won none
but that's still better than not being in the fight
now your legends are just whispers in the night
and you'll do anything to immurse yourself in the light

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be the only one who gets what you're alluding to here.

It doesn't work in some places. For example, I'm pretty sure that they would want their relationship to be condoned.

Yes, please do inform what he's alluding to, it sounded like the opening to Romeo & Juliet in the beginning

oh muh god i'm beast. damn man after reading it again I realized Verona is where it takes place. At first when I saw Verona i thought of Italy then Mt. Vesuvius...dono why.

Edit* the guns part made me think of the newer version, which was rather awkward.
