  • Sentus- This Means War

This is another hot 16 blah blah blah, it was a promo.

    http://www.facebook.com/SentusMusic7

In every verse I dominate rap at a constant rate
Any beat I step on gets ate like Jon and Kate
But I'm ignored for rap on the radio stations
Who don't hold a candle to me, now that don't make sense
You were hatin but now I'm hot, karma sucks
My sicker drops are snicker shops, every bar is nuts
When I'm rippin the beat it tends to get crazy
Cause the flow is delivered intense like Indian babies
I'm just with Hip-Hop, tryin to resurrect its soul
And if I'm martyred for this then I accept my role
Some say I'm the kid won't don't act like he cares
But like the Robesons there's something else behind these stairs
I'm light years ahead of the game, imbedded with flames
So once I take control it's never the same
And I laugh at you who think you're a big shot vet
Just cause you got hair don't mean you a Hip-Hop head

everything in this song was dope, apart from the lyrics, i dont know... i guess that that subject has been played out for me, try come up with something creative and kinda different to everyone else but the flow was okay, and your delivery defiantly made the track what it is

Flow - Was pretty good. But like I said on your last song, your flow is starting to feel repetitive, not sure if its because of the similar beat styles you're using or not.
Lyrics - Were really good. But I kinda agree with what the other guy said. I mean, I do think you have really good lyrics. But its kinda the same thing to me every song. "I'm rippin' this beat" etc etc. I'm pretty sure I understood just about everyline, yeah they wow'd me, but the bragging does get repetitive. I know you drop these 16's just to get better. But dropping a 16 about a different subject wouldn't hurt. Maybe even go over some famous beats with hooks on them or something, so you can rap a clear subject, or download some beats with hooks off Soundclick or any other beat sites you go to.
Other - Mastering seems to be getting better, from what I can hear, thats a big plus.
          Overall - 3.5/5.

I have some dandys in here so it would surprise me if someone understood every line but thanks for the feed. I have some songs that are different I'm just waiting for some stuff to go down so I can release them.

I really enjoyed the flow on this track and I think it was a solid 16 for some decent promo. Kinda agree with what everyone is saying about your repetitive subject and bragging, but lets be honest, every rapper does that and that's just what it is. On a beat like this you just have to rip it with some solid bars and that's exactly what you did. Quality was good through my laptop speakers, so I'm sure it would be better through my headphones. Solid promotional track, keep it up. 4/5

                Re: Sentus- This Means War

I brag the most on here, mostly cause I'm the hawtest (lol). I kid, I kid.

                Flow: A-
                Lyrics: C

Overall: 3/5, Yeah I said C. Why? Because I think you're too busy feelin' yourself. Everyone rapper has a big head, and that's why I dont say "i think you brag too much". That's a pillar of rap. Think of all the best songs where someone's rapped about how much money they make, how many bitches they fuck, and how many guns they tote. The gangsterims of the hip-hop culture will always been one of the pinnacles of the genre, so you can't take that nor the bragging that entails away from it. Your subject matter could use some work though. Its starting to seem like everyone of these 16's is the same, just different words. One could stop me and say "that's rap" and that too gets me to second guess myself, but the thing I'm going to point out is the creativity of it. I think I said this in the beginning when you were posting stuff and I think it still holds true. For however good you are at crafting a verse and however clever you are at coming up with punches, you still are yet to "wow" someone. I heard this 16 and I'm was like "cool, that's a good verse", but there's nothing about it that makes me put it on repeat to listen again and again. I got every single subliminal euphemism from that verse, cept for the Roberson one. That from a movie? The "that dont make sense" line doesnt rhyme with station, no matter how hard you force it and makes the first few bars clunky. I think you coulda gone more fiercer with the delivery and that woulda put this verse over the top sorta. Maybe that's the root problem. Maybe its because your delivery is the same on each track, so it just all sounds the sound. Possible an area to check out and work on to see if that makes it better?

Just remember dude, I'm not taking shots - just giving comments as a listener. I would really like to hear a song you've crafted, with an original hook etc. to compare things. In the last few 16s you've been dropping, I think this one is below Kush - which to me was far better crafted song and had more impact than this one. I'm enjoying your recent verse drops though, so keep em coming and thanks for contributing to Tha Stu'.

This was a nice little sixteen. Your lyrics are always on point, but your flow is kind of getting repetitive. I'm also kinda dissappointed in you for using the instense like indian babies line again. You come up with some sick enough stuff to have not reused that one.

                    Thank you.
