I have a Rode NTK. Pretty smooth, crisp vocals. Also it is important to know that you need a good mixer. Im currently saving up for a M-Audio box so I can run pro tools.

i disagree.
lets post examples of our songs and then describe the type of mic u got, then decide.
i've heard cheap usb mics sound better than the expensive joints.
i say mixing is like 80-90 % of the output quality.CHECK OUT MY SOUNDCLICK PAGE BELOW:

And usb mics will never give you professional quality, never.

I hold true to things that people have told me in college that are broadcasting majors. dont fuck with cheap mics. same goes for a photographer i guess. you can by that cheap camera and maybe make it all work with Photoshop, but its still cheap and low quality. Megapixels matter, just like audio quality does. Not saying that you have to shell out $400 for a mic though btw. mine was only like $80 and no matter how shitty my verses or delivery are, people still comment and say i have great quality. all in the mic.
This is true, its all about the kind of mic and what your using it for.

Re: Mic Recommendations
Thanks for the info , the rode n samson both seem pretty gd and for a reasonable price and Ive got a M-audio box and pro tools, I bought a mic awhile back for like 80 n the quality was awful worse than just using my mac's internal mic lol so i thought this time I'd get some recommendations
This is more than a rap, This is more of an oath

Re: Mic Recommendations
I guess Diezel. Imma choose to believe the guys who plan to make a living outta recording their voice and playing it on devices (radio, tv, podcast, etc). De, you can make up your own mind. just take the information we've all given you and make an educated guess on what's best. google it if you want.
