  • Yung Cash - Mad World

Well, I love this song, and I didn't ever seen myself doing this, but I felt this had to be done. It has a deep message to it, I'm in high school, so I see a lot of bullying. This is a song from the victims point of view and their feelings, etc. I wrote this at 6 in the morning, but I feel like it's a lot different from what I normally do.

    ‪Yung Cash - Mad World (Rap Remix)‬‏ - YouTube

    Lyrics:
Backpack packed, thought high school should be cool/
I mean, I got lost, but all freshman do/
I saw this beautiful girl, mom, I imagined you seeing us!/
I tried to talk to her, buuut, her boyfriend beat me up/
Of course, I had to eat lunch alone, but I shed no tears/
    But after 2 years, I feel like I don't belong here/
You said, "All kids aren't cruel, then why do they do the things they do?"/
I have a right to learn, but now I'm scared to go/
It's July, and the world still seems so cold/
I'm afraid to do it because I don't want you alone 'cause of my mess/
So I zone out from the world, sleep at my desk.

    *Chorus*

    Verse 2:
I seen this really pretty girl, after I heard her rep/
I met her right before she tried to hang herself to death/
We talked after, she told me the rumors weren't true. Isn't that crazy/
She asked, "Why do they hate me?"/
    Mom, I couldn't give a reason 'cause there wasn't one, seriously/
They hate her 'cause of the lies THEY made, and that's what kills me/
She cried her heart out to me, and of course they laughed/
She asked if making her sad made them glad of the life they had/
and she cried some more, it brought tears to my eyes/
She just wanted to live, but they rather see her die/
I looked her in her beautiful eyes, I offered to walk her home, she gave me a kiss and said bye/
That was the night she committed suicide/
So, as we're gathered her, I thought it would be best if you knew this/
It was your actions and words that drove her to do this/
and as we lay her down to rest, just remember that you drove her to death/
Your lies corrupted a pure mind and the heart that was inside/
I remember, as we sat there, I talked to her about dying/
She said it seemed better and that's the only time I seen her smiling/
I said, "Really, how do you think it'll be?"/
She said, "I don't know... probably like a good, long dream."/
    and then she said, "

    *Chorus*

Absolutely loved the instrumental, Mad World is one of my favorite songs, could you send it to me?

The concept/story was great. So bravo on that. I think your biggest problem was your flow, I don't really know how to describe it but you were off beat a lot and it sounded really bad at some points, so just try and work on that.

DUDE i thought u fixed the flow problem. i dont understand why it keeps happening. its like you dont write to the beat, u just write with an uncalculated flow thats not the same as the beats.

Wow is all I can say man. You told an amazing story with this. Your flow actually fit this beat in my opinion. It sounded more like a poetry, which alot of your lyrics do. I've liked the original song for awhile< never imagine a hip-hop take on it. You definitely did it justice. The vocals could stand to be turned down just a tad, but other than that I'm rocking this one man. Good work.

Thanks, I honestly appreciate that! I wanted to stop doing these bragging songs and try to do something a lot more lyrical and focused, I'm glad you enjoyed it overall.

Yeah, I figured my flow was gonna be terrible on this, I improved on hip-hop songs, but this was yk.

Sounds great, if you need me too, I can add some kicks to the beat.
              Make it more Hip-Hop like.

                feedback:

                creative track. i like it.

                very emotional type, yet depressing.

would sound doper if somebody made a beat from it.

executed the delivery on this well, this was a good idea.

                mastering is pretty good too.

                what kinda mic u using??
