    Pro Tools for engineering, and mastering.

    and also, I forgot, I recently started using Logic Pro, it's nice aswell.

          Think you could message me that Pro-tools link and Logic Pro link because I can't seem to find any good ones myself.

                  It really comes down to what you work with best; they all can pretty much do the same thing (except for Reason since it doesn't have VST support which is why I stopped using it back in the day). FL Studio is what I use but a lot of my friends use Ableton and say it's excellent - - I didn't care for the workflow of it but again, it all just comes down to what you like; FL Studio is great because it's widely used on the internet so you can search out tons of tutorials, youtube videos, and help on forums when you encounter problems or want to learn new techniques. Also, if you have Mac, Logic is exclusively for Mac and considered another powerhouse program. I think logic comes with exclusive VSTs also which helps separate it from the rest. Download some demos, play around, see what you like.

                  EDIT: None of these are free (you'd have to torrent them), I actually don't know of any legitimately free ones...is Garageband free?

                    It came with my macbook, but it's for idiots. lol.
