Mics ?

So I'm getting a mic this x mas. But I'm stuck on whether to get the Samson CO1U or the Audio Techinica 2020 .
Audi Techinica is a little more expensive and a couple people say its better
Then again
A lot of my friends say Samson CO1U is the best USB mic, and also say its better then audio technica.
Which do you guys think i should get and which do you all have?

i dont know about the other mic..but the CO1U is the one i have..its pretty good..

^^^ first mic i had and it works good. Still have it but i moved up to the blue yeti. Its $50 more and you can tell the difference in quality

If your serious about making music I say the audio technica. If you want good quality your really not gonna get that with a USB mic.

Not necessarily true..ive heard some people's music that use the same USB mic i have and there music sounds PERFECT..

I just saw the specs and their really almost similar, So I'm getting the samson and with the money i saved bought a 30 buck sony monitor headphone
I havent ordered it yet, So I still got time to think

On your computer speakers maybe but play that same song in the club on some speakers and you wouldn't be able to hear anything.

If your going to go with a usb mic you better get some expensive monitors so you can mix and master you stuff down as good as possible then.

I'm pretty sure (from what I remember) D-Pryde's Samson is the same model but not USB

I use a Samson CO3U. I mix/master in like 30 seconds easy.

By comparison, here's the same mic only I didn't know how to mix correctly (as you can tell)
