A lot of the sounds are stock and it sounds amateurish. I think is mostly the melody. Dont know if its just the instrument, and if you replaced it with a better instrument or VST it would work better, or if its just the melody itself. The underlying horns you got going on here sound weird too. Bass sounds good.
You should try Hip Hop Makers - Music Production, Free Drum Samples, Free Loops, FL Studio, Graphic Design. I think they have some beat packs on there that could spruce up your beats and make things sound more legit. Also, look for some better instrument VSTs. I get a lot of mine from here . Also that melody gets annoying towards the end as it keeps getting repetitive. You might want to change it up here and there.
Gotta agree with Mykill -- really gotta layer these sounds to get them to sound less out-of-the-box; the 808's also seem really really out of tune with the rest of the beat. I also hate those standard "heys" that EVERYBODY uses; super cliche -- get rid of those, they're so lame
But yeah, tune that 808, layer all the drums, switch up the melody instead of the same 4 bars over and over and over and this could come together but it's needs some serious work
I like the bass. Bad thing is that this gets kinda too repetitive with the same melody all the time. I can imagine Kid Ink jumping on this after some editing.
