Re: Cli-City - In My Own Words
Intro: Amazing beat + Sample. Begining really set me up , felt like I was about to hear some immortal technique type shit. Loved the flow, Lyrics were great I felt everything you said about being lonely but having to speak to the world in the mic. This really set out a good intro because you were telling how all the people on your side weren't really there. Talking about where your from and how bad it is. So it makes it seem like in the tape your going to be telling your story. 4/5
Never Past: Most underrated song in this fucking mixtape. Everyone is talking about Hip Hop Or Pusherman but they didn't mention this. Mc Crary killed this shit, had an amazing first verse , loved how he stayed on topic. I didn't really like the hook, but thats personal opinon because it flowed really well with everything. Kryspy went in with a good flow, didn't like some lyrics though. Liked your verse to talking bout how your not here for you, but for your city , and "same city where tim duncan played in sand" 4.7/5
Can I Live: Starting off by this being one of my favorite tracks on this shit. Blake Jay had an amazing flow by starting off nice and smooth, went really well with the beat. One of the best hooks in this shit. Your verse was good to talking about reach your dreams and to never say no if you never tryed. "Virgin islands taught me to be a winner"
5/5
Power: Another underrated track. That dude reminds me of yelawolf in the begining. He had some really good punchlines and some decent lines. Cli City when you went in you WRECKED THIS SHIT. "you aint getting money nigga, you aint living" after that i was like
good shit , 4.8/5
Pusha Man: I think you already heard enough of this track . I felt like you could of gone harder though , but like always you impressed me . Noble went in with that smooth shit that had me actually nodding my head to it. I felt llike MyKill could of gone harder though it was still decent, but the more i listen to this, this was a overrated track though, theres deff better in this tape.
4/5
Hip Hop: Uhh where do I start. THE BEST FUCKING TRACK IN THIS BITCH IN MY OPINON. CRAZY ASS SHIT I HEARD FROM YOU CLI. "remember when rap used to mean something, and every bar signified life..." to lazy to keep going but that whole verse was KILLER. And on top of that JR NICKZ had to rape the beat some more with that amazing flow and those lyrics that had me going till the fucking end, replay, fucking end. Every part of this track I'm in love with.
5/5, Jr Nickz keep going I'm waiting for more tracks by you
My Voice: Dope as well, Felt like a really inspiring track since the begining, loved how you kept talking about fuck the haters and keep going. Not much more to say, Keep it up
4.5/5
Friday Night: Ehhh, I didn't really like this. Maybe its just my opinon, don't get me wrong I felt your shit, but just like Marvins Room, I don't like it but people always talk about how good it is
3/5
Down: I don't know if its just me but I felt like this was some old school shit. Loved the lyrics "got more pussy then my grandma's kitty litter" This was a good ass track , Flow was on point all around. BTW What beat is this? where you get it from?
4.6/5
Girl Next Door: Another key track to this bitch . Since the begining I felt your shit. I felt this regae styled shit. Sounding like Sean Kingston on that HOOK ! Lmao this is the type of track I'd fall asleep to at night due to the fact its so smooth and slow. The Hook is so catchy too! Great job on this shit
4.8/5
Outro: The beat you chose was amazing to end this shit. "you are now listening to an unsigned spitta , nigga, in the hospital you won't find someone iller" idk why i found that part really catchy. This shit dissapointed me at the end, felt like you could of went harder , none the less i liked it and made me kinda mad there was only 11 tracks.
4/5
Cli City, Keep spitting please, Jr Nickz ,MyKill, and Blakejay want to hear more from you too because you both went in,
Good tape overall 4.5/5 , Make that video for hip hop too, If this was on datpiff I would have shared it all over my facebook, but no one wants to download something without streaming it these days
