  • Who am I? (Only smarty pants allowed)

This verse is talking about a certain group, I'd like to know if any of you can guess it even though it's rather obvious. Here it goes:

They say stand up for what's right even if you're alone
But when blood is in the "air" (heir) war steps to the throne
On some vendetta piff when Uthman's eliminated quick
Why would I pledge allegiance to enemies of my prophet
Do I profit? maybe if I was in the 700's with them conquerin..
732 being held up in Pointiers by Martel blockin
Or holdin off intermarriage conversions so they can stay benefitting,
Mawali's paying Jizya..that's their kind of retribution
And Jihad's not what it's meant to be...spreadin the Quran
Granting avarice through booty leavin the beaten like ramadan
Cus a dead body needs no food yet allows others to carrion.
So the "reign" (rain) carries on, downpour as blood floods the River Zab
The origins..Black banners of the Abbasid
openly challengin the defying nemesis 747
We joining them, rebels breakin off Persia and Iraq (a rock)
Cus my arms are pillars like Hercules wantin some of Gibral...tar.

Since no one seems confident enough or willing to say something, I'll give you two answers to choose from.

Is the perspective told from a Sunni or Shi'ite ?

Would you guys prefer a poll or something? I think it'd be cooler then me just saying it now and ruining it. And I'll let some of you know I do dwell off on talking about the actions of one of them yet the Point of View is specific and if you watch the pronouns and when they're used it'll give you the answer.

YNR- It's what I'm learning in world history put into a rap. Not only is this my mnemonic device but it's interesting. I'm talking from the perspective of either a Shi'ite or Sunni, which are the two main divisions of the Islamic faith.

EDIT* would it help at all (if you're not just straight up guessing) if I added more to the verse?

Well, it seems we had one defiant person, and that person got it....Right~
Good job on who it was.

                    Is your backround either?
Or is just something you found interesting?

P.S, I didn't read the comments on this thread before I posted.. maybe what I am asking was answered..
but the end of the verse was confusing, to me, and I honestly couldn't tell you.

I don't get who or what you're talking about in the first two sentences, and I asked if people wanted more to the verse but since only one person voted I didn't bother posting it.

Useless fact to finish a useless post: My best friend is a sunni and he speaks Persian
Syrup, percocet, and an eighth a day will leave you broke, depressed, and emotionally vacant

And I know cause he's my favorite
And I know cause I was off that same mix
Rationalize the shit that I'd try after I listen to "Dedication"
                        But he's an alien
                        I'd sip that shit
