What's your fan base like? You gotta get your FB page Likes up for sure. That "Tomorrow aint promised" track still sounds off and it would seem like you didnt lease some of these beats. Bad move. I wouldnt want to listen to someone's song with a bunch of drops on it. If you got the change to purchase the hard copies, you need to invest in leasing beats (and in some cases getting exclusives). Find a producer in your area that's good and get him to ride with you. That way when you get on, he gets on, and you guys can have a whole Drake/Noah relationship that fosters a consistent sound.

As far as the preview goes, you sound like your mastering is good, which is always a great thing. The one thing I never get from your music is a sense of "yeah...yeah... I can relate to this", because it sounds awfully generic. Work on your hooks for sure. That "I'm a really nigga, so fuck with me hook" over Slow Motion was just horrible. Get your wordplay and lyrics up for suuuuuure.

TBH: I dont think paying money for this mixtape to get made was a good move. If you were over 2k Likes on FB and you did a show here and there in your area code, I could see it as a good move, but dont half ass anything. Half assed attempts at stardom always end poorly, especially in an EXCESSIVELY OVER SATURATED rap industry. Without something that makes people say "he's different" you're not gonna pop and that's what I get from your music: Nothing different. At least with others around here there's an air of individualism: Noble - Swaggy weed rap with a unique voice and flair, Cli-City, BlakeJay, MC_Crary - crazy good wordplay and knowledge rap, JSmooth - some of the best punches in tha Studio. And I dont really know if you're "about to kill it at all"....

Overall: 2.6/5 (from at least all the previews I heard)

I agree partly with what you said. But an online fan base isn't everything yes its necessary but I rather have a real life movement than sitting around waiting to get FB likes. I mean i'm working and school i don't time to ask people to like my Fb or to constantly be on a forum i rather be in studio doing what i love and becoming better as artist. And the mixtape is a free download only thing I'm charging is for hard copies. As far you claiming my music is generic that's your opinion you're entitled to. I know plenty people around my area who I do this for who love my tracks for the simple reason they can relate so when you say you can't I think its just the way you perceive. For example the hooks you gotta realize where I'm from nobody is tryna hear a over top lyrical hook that's not the point of a hook the point of a hook is to catch attention and to make it to where the listener will remember, something simple. And I don't do anything half assed when it comes to music I put time into my craft it takes me literally hours to record so don't even try to go there.

I'm talking about REAL people, getting online, and Liking your page. Not randoms. If you're really interacting with them first hand, you should tell them to "Like you on FB" or "Follow you on twitter". Create a way you constantly ram your music down their throats, and at least to them if they're digging it they'll do it and feel good about it. Not get random people that havent played your stuff or live 1000 miles from you to like it. Foster an environment that supports you, and that will give you good word of mouth. Labels desire artists have buzz and a following before they sign them now. Talent isnt what sells you anymore. It helps, but its not what sells you. Your ability to sell yourself is what sells you.

Then do that and stop wasting money on hardcopies of a project that technically can get your sued if Flawless Beats finds out you're using their shit for promo and not leasing anything. If that track gets hot, they'll be hot on you with their lawyers. I doubt it'll happen, but IF it does, that's whats going to happen. Once your make physical copies you cross into new copyrighting territory. (other Studio people help me out with that one, not 100% sure)

A nice way of saying "fuck you".

A long way of running around in circles and not really explaining your position... Look, the hooks are boring. It's like a Future hook, or something Waka Flocka comes up with. I can't relate because they arent really saying anything, so there's nothing to relate to. Is that bad? Hell no! I'm just saying if you want me to listen to the whole song, the hook has to be catchy and rememberable. i can't remember a one of em right now, I just know they were bland.

Then why not lease the beat and stop being cheap? That's half assed to me... I released tagged songs because A) I'm not paying for anything nor charging for anything B) I'd rather get the concept down before I shell out cash C) I suck at rapping. When I get serious and try to make something out of this, hence buying 100+ hard copies of a tape, I'll DEFINITELY SHELL OUT THE CASH to lease some beats and get some exclusives. Until then, online distribution on the cheap.

But who am I to judge. I'm just some random prick on an online forum. Keep Grindin'.

i dunno, arent waka and future big now partly due to their memorable hooks??
when o lets do it came out, everybody stayed saying it.
that was catchy and memorable imo.
and future wrote the "racks on racks" song, which blew up pretty big, and now that "we in this bitch" song, which im starting to like alot. (at first i was a future hater, but now i fux wit him)
gucci i must say mastered the hook game. 50 cent in his own category cuz he even harmonize wit it, which imo put him above most, cuz if you can somewhat sing hooks, that makes you more a complete artist, thats why i appreciate the likes of drake, cudi, and u cant forget roscoe dash.... etc...you so limited otherwise.
EVERYONE CHECK MY MUSIC OUT, AND PM ME IF U HAVE ANY REQUESTS AND INQUIRIES !!!!!

that's what I'm saying though Diezel. The hooks on his project arent memorable to me. There's nothing catchy about em. Nothing that makes you really listen to em. Not even on a Waka/Future level. They're not meshing with the beats they're on as if they were written pre-beat selection and made to fit. You just reiterated everything I was saying earlier...

Lol tell me this doesn't hype you up..I know hate when I see it bruh, I've been doing this for almost 6 years an for another artist to tell me that my hooks aren't on waka/future level is blasphemy, and I won't stand for it period.
