While working on our mixtape, which will be dropping 4th of July called "Lifeguards Off Duty", we decided to put out a quick single to stay active. It is a remake to Drake's Fear song.
    Verse 1-Chris
    Verse 2-Walt

      Chris:

Flow - 3/5: Wasn't consistent at all. One minute he was on top of it, other min' he was rhyming to a different beat.

Lyrics - 4/5: Lyrically, it was good. He stuck to the subject and concept, but technically, it wasn't much. I didn't really notice any unique rhyme schemes or any really dope lines.

Other: Had an okay delivery and fit the track a lot better.

      Wait:

Flow - 3.5/5: It was a little better than Chris's and I noticed one flow switch, but the delivery held you back. Pretty monotone. With songs like this, you have to put your all into it. Maybe it was the voice, but he sounded aggressive.

Lyrics - 4/5: Same as before. Lyrically, not bad, but nothing really stood out. Basically, you guys did what you were supposed to, but didn't put an extra effort or oomph in there. I'm not talking punchlines or anything, but just things that resonate with the listener. Like, Drake said, "I never cried when Pac died, but I probably will when Hov does." Wasn't a punchline or anything, but it carried a lot of weight and is the one line people really remember from that song.

Other: More heart and a smoother delivery.

Overall - 4/5: not bad at all and you guys both did a pretty good job. I'm curious to hear more songs from you guys because I can't really see your chemistry.

Other: I don't know if it was the beat or what, but the quality sounded kinda bad. I'm guessing it's a mixture of both.

Thanks man, that is honestly the most detailed feedback ive ever gotten lol. delivery was meant to be like that, but obviously not executed perfectly. And the quality is because of our setup. were running a blue spark with no interface just a phantom powered usb adapter. We just started but we are looking to upgrade our setup and acoustically treat our basement with a isolated vocal booth. There will definitely be more!

just made a remix of this... tacked on a verse... sounds ok.... lol

You guys did pretty good on here. 1st guys needs better mic presence and his vocals sounded low. 2nd guy's lyrics were the best I think, good flow, good delivery.

You guys gonna have some original songs on the tape?

                      Chris

Flow not bad. Could've been delivered better. Needs more feeling. And the closing, you have to realize you're coming to the end so level off your voice. Helps the transition into the hook. Lyrics were fitting for a lyrics were good for a track like this. But some get lost in the mic quality/mixing. The more money I carry, leads to less love I get. Standout line.

                      Walt

Was lyrically better, but his flow gets kinda loss sometimes. Sounds like he's working really hard to fit all of the lyrics into the track. The delivery is kinda lost in that too, but I still think it's better than Chris's delivery. Mixing sounds better too.

This is a good song, you two sound good together but get the mixing more comparable with each other. That will make the tape sound better. Keep working on those flows, practice makes perfect. Good luck guys.
